Behind Mauvage
I’m Maud Rijs, a 28-year-old designer from the Netherlands.
With a background in Fashion Tailoring and Junior Design, my work is rooted in craftsmanship and a strong attention to detail.
I focus on creating new pieces developed from my own ideas and process, alongside custom work.
Currently, I am building Mauvage, where I continue to explore a refined and personal approach to fashion
Born from Passion
Mauvage was bron from a deep passion for fashion, one that goes beyond simply wearing it.
It has always been about creating, experimenting and expressing identity through garments.
Drawn to the idea of wearing something no one else has, Mauvage stands for individuality and craftmanship, where every piece tells it`s own story.
Give it a Second life.
Mauvage often works with donated garments, pieces that are given a second life through reconstruction.
These items become part of the creative process, transformed into one-of-a-kind designs.
Donating is a way to contribute to the story behind Mauvage.
It doesn’t guarantee a piece in return, but it allows existing clothing to be reimagined instead of forgotten.
